Special Visitor!

This past week we had a special visitor come to our classroom- Mrs. Redcay! She was the students' teacher last year in second grade. She had a baby boy named Connor over the summer and brought him in to meet the students!

Everyone LOVED watching Connor in the beach corner.  I think he was having fun meeting all the students and seeing some new faces!

Look at Connor checking things out! I think he is excited for school! :-)

The students were trying hard to make him smile!

Anna decided that Connor wanted to hear the story "Bedhead" since he had such COOL HAIR.

It was a FUN visit to have Mrs. Redcay and Connor come in to say hello. We are excited for the next time they come in to visit!

God blesses the OBEDIENT heart!
We just finished up the story of Noah and how God blessed his family because he obeyed God. What a CRAZY thing for him to do...build an ark? We studied all the instructions and details and tried to imagine how we would respond if we were asked to do something like that. Would we have been as faithful as Noah?

Each of us thought about an area where we would like to really obey God (similar to Noah) in our lives today. We all wrote it on a stip of paper, read it out loud to the class and posted it to the ark in the back of our classroom. We are all trying to encourage each other to obey like Noah even when we do not feel like it. Ask your student what he or she chose and see how they are doing.

What a cool privilege to be able to learn about obedience from the Bible and to be in a classroom where we can encourage other to be more like Christ. Thank you Lord for your Word and LCCS!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Go Phils!
