Thanks to everyone who helped supply us with an AMAZING breakfast! The food was delicious!
The students enjoyed their breakfast too!
Food makes them happy! :-)
While we ate, the students read some of their Christmas raps to the class. They had to use a certain amount of their spelling words and create a song to the tune of a famous Christmas song.
They were fantastic!
Mrs. Peifer read us a story about the meaning of the Christmas colors- RED and GREEN.
(ask your child to tell you about it!)
She took the boys into the kitchen to work on the "colored" popcorn.
While the girls started working on their personalized coasters. Since Mrs. Mellette is the fifth grade teacher and Gabriel's mom (and cannot make it to our parties), she came up with this creative gift idea and supplied everything we needed. THANKS MRS. MELLETTE!!!
The boys still working hard.
There is the popcorn without the colored syrup.
Next, the girls wrapped their gifts and decided who they would like to give their gift to for Christmas.
And of course we needed a "finished product" picture of the loveliness.
The boys finished up in the kitchen and switched with the girls.
The boys are pretty crafty as well.
The red popcorn completed. THANKS FOR A GREAT ACTIVITY MRS. PEIFER!
Our cute little tree with our secret santa gifts underneath.
And a "finished product" picture of the boys and their craziness.
We had fun figuring out who each other had in our Secret Santa gift exchange.
Thanks to Mrs. Peifer and Mrs. Gaddy for coming in and helping out!
Merry Christmas!
I hope you all had a wonderfully, refreshing time with family and friends. Happy 2011! January 14th marks the end of the second marking period! We are almost halfway there! Have a great night.

What a cool post, Mrs. Marvelous Herr! You are so wonderful and creative! I have to comment this even though I already told you in person: Gabriel said over Christmas break - out of the blue - "Mrs. Herr is the BEST teacher ever!" How true!
