When we had Pastors' Day a couple of months ago, the third graders wrote letters of appreciation to their pastors. Quite a few students in our class attend the Worship Center and wrote letters to Pastor Allison.
After she received them, she emailed me and asked if there would be a good time to come over and spend some time in our classroom. I knew the students would be SUPER EXCITED that she would make time to come and SEE THEM!
She arrived and brought a DELICIOUS SNACK- Ice Cream Sandwiches and Capri Suns. The theme of her lesson was SUMMER! (ah, only 16 days until it's here, officially)
She also gave each student a bag filled with a card game and water balloons. Two VERY FUN ACTIVITIES to enjoy during the summer. She encouraged the students to BE CHRIST to kids in their neighborhoods, camps, etc. A good way to connect with people could be something as simple as playing a game!
She's in there somewhere! :-)
The kids LOVED her gift bag and were very thankful for Pastor Allison's generosity.
Thanks for making time to come and see us Pastor Allison!
Now 3rd graders- Ask God to help you use these gifts given by Pastor Allison to draw someone to Christ this summer....even through everyday, ordinary activities!
